Overview

Founder of Stop Wasting Food movement Selina Juul has dedicated her life to the fight against food waste and spent over a quarter of her life on the fight against food waste and work on the Stop Wasting Food movement. Most recently, she contributes with recommendations to the Danish Government, the EU and the Vatican. Now she is been rewarded with the international award Reader’s Digest European of the Year 2020. This award is given for the 25th time and the award is given to Europeans who have excelled and dedicated themselves to working with topics such as environment, human rights, anti-corruption and women’s rights. Global editions of Reader’s Digest reach an additional 40 million people in more than 70 countries, via 49 editions in 21 languages. The periodical has a global circulation of 10.5 million, making it the largest paid circulation magazine in the world. With the Reader’s Digest European of the Year 2020 comes a statuette and honor, a cover and an interview with Selina Juul in Reader’s Digest magazines in Europe. In 2014, one of the largest Danish newspapers Berlingske has awarded Selina Juul with title Dane of the Year for her work with Stop Wasting Food movement.
