Animal Feed Tool

I am a farmer sourcing milk from my own farm to use as feed and NOT registered as a milk processing establishment.

You can only use unprocessed milk as animal feed if it is produced by animals on the same farm as the animals to which the milk will be fed.
-
2
You will still need to be registered as an animal feed supplier.
-
3
If classical scrapie is confirmed in a sheep flock or goat herd, you may not be able to use milk from the flock in feed for ruminants (cud-chewing mammals such as cattle, sheep, goats and deer).
-
4
The only exception to this is colostrum brought to your farm from another farm to be fed to orphan animals (an animal is orphaned if its mother has died and can’t feed the animal).

Please see additional guidance here if you are a farmer wishing to feed milk products to farm animals on your farm.
