Great news! Your former foodstuffs are commonly used in animal feed
The most common are bakery (cakes, bread, biscuits, pastry), cereal-based (breakfast, pasta) and confectionary (chocolate, sweets) foods.

Follow the WRAP guidance (section 3.3 onwards) to ensure
- the food surplus is safe (not decomposing, mouldy or toxic)
- fully and continuously segregated from any prohibited ABPs and untreated permitted ABPs
- free from contaminants and packaging (in the case of packaging you may have an agreement with the feed processor to take charge of the removal of packaging)
- other general compliance for feed ingredient suppliers

If you want to supply your former foodstuffs directly to local farms, please ensure that they can take former foodstuffs safely and legally. You may wish to encourage them to go through the farmer section of this tool.
