To use former foodstuffs that have as its principal ingredient permitted ABPs in farm animal feed, please make sure you:

follow the specific government guidance for your product:
- For any former foodstuffs that are principally dairy-based (cheese, ice cream), see the dairy specific guidance
- Eggs or egg-products
- Processed animal proteins, including fish meal
- Blood products and blood meal
- Dicalcium and tricalcium phosphate of animal origin
If you also deal with ruminant collagen and gelatine, and recover or extract oil from different sources, you need additional APHA approval and you need to follow the DEFRA specific guidance:

Caution: if your site also handles prohibited ABPs (meat, fish, shellfish) you will need to apply additional HACCP measures to ensure full segregation between the permissible and non-permissible ABPs.
