Overview

Healthcare institutions in Flanders waste  approximately 15 240 tonne a year. The sector faces unique challenges such as non-voluntary consumers and unpredictable numbers of clients.  To tackle this,  FoodWIN proposes an immersive, participatory process including following steps:

  1. measuring food waste
  2. finding solutions
  3. testing and monitoring
